It was a great day all round with reasonable weather, good atmosphere and lots of good acts, but it was Edward II I particularly came to see. Was it worth the 10 year wait - you bet it was! Just before the set began I was wondering how the changeover from the Oysterband was going to happen given the strict time frame. Then I noticed that band members were filtering on stage and the transition was just perfect. I glanced over my shoulder and exchanged a look of with a fellow concert goer who was as delighted as I was to finally see the renion after all these years. And what a set. It was played with great energy, enthusiasm, expertise and sheer good fun throughout. I enjoyed myself immensely as did everyone in the Big Top that night. See you on down the road...
